“Man Vs. Nature” is a type of story conflict in which the antagonist of the story is not a personified threat, but a natural phenomenon. Think: hurricane, volcano, poison, predators, plane crash, the depths of the ocean, or the vacuum of space. The force threatening your protagonist this month should not be a menacing person, but a force of nature, just doing what it does naturally. Your challenge will be to make that threat compelling.
